The National Service Scheme (NSS) club in school serves as a platform for students to develop their personality, foster social responsibility, and promote community engagement. Through various community service projects and social activities, NSS clubs aim to raise social awareness, support national development, and encourage volunteerism among students. By participating in initiatives like blood donation, cleanliness drives, and disaster relief, students develop leadership skills, teamwork, and communication skills, while also building character and values like empathy, kindness, and selflessness. Ultimately, the NSS club empowers students to become active citizens who can make a positive impact in society, contributing to the betterment of their communities and the nation as a whole.
The NSS units in the school, consisting of 230 student volunteers, participated in various social activities, including:
- International Yoga Day (June 21, 2024): 100 volunteers performed yoga exercises.
- "Ek Ped Maa K Naam" tree plantation camp (July): 200 plants were planted in nearby areas, Honourable Principal Mrs. Anju Talwar also planted 2 trees in the playground of school.
- Mega Tree Plantation Camp (organized by the State Government): Volunteers planted trees at New Grain Market, Kaithal, in the presence of the Honourable CM Mr. nayab Singh Saini and pledged to plant and care for at least one tree annually.
These activities demonstrate the NSS volunteers' commitment to social service, environmental conservation, and community engagement.
